Feed intake and feed conversion are of great importance in breeding industry. High or low residual feed intake is inherited but genes responsible for the phenotype are not known. Animals differ in basal metabolic processes and even in behavior. In this study, we determined microbiome composition in low and high residual feed intake (LRFI and HRFI) pigs using 16S rRNA sequencing (targeting at V3/V4 variable region). Next, we examined whether weaning is of an importance for microbiome development and how microbiome composition was changed under poor zoohygienic condition.

采食量与饲料转化率在畜禽育种产业中具有重要意义。剩余采食量(Residual Feed Intake)的高低具有遗传性,但调控该表型的具体基因仍未明确。不同个体的基础代谢过程乃至行为模式均存在差异。本研究针对低剩余采食量(LRFI)与高剩余采食量(HRFI)猪只,采用靶向V3/V4可变区的16S rRNA测序技术解析其微生物组组成。此外,本研究还探究了断奶对微生物组发育的影响,以及恶劣动物卫生条件下微生物组组成的变化规律。
