Goats and sheep contribute to economic development, food security, public health, and environmental sustainability at the regional and national levels. Examining disease dynamics in these livestock is crucial for informing and shaping One Health policies and their concern studies are increasing in various dimensions. Current research explores the insights of 5,116 publications focusing goat and sheep disease indexed in Web of Science (WoS), retrieved as of 30th December 2023. Employing bibliometric and Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic modeling approaches, we examined the key research trends and thematic focuses. We observed the existing research in this domain significantly contributed to good health and well-being (Sustainable Development Goals 3), focusing on Veterinary Science. The dominant diseases like Brucellosis, Scrapie, Prion, Paratuberculosis and Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) in literature were actively researched. This study further visualized the co-occurrence keyword, co-authorship countries networks and word clouds of LDA suggested topics. The research serves as a reference for scholars, policymakers, and healthcare professionals in shaping future studies, recognizing current knowledge, and effectively directing resources to address Goat and Sheet disease control and management aspects.
