Whole genome sequencing of putative novel species of Geobacillus designated Geobacillus thermoresilans FW23 was performed to study the genetic as well as functional profile. The study also aimed at detailed understanding of certain unprecedented pathways involved in degradation of aromatic compounds.

本研究对命名为热抗地芽孢杆菌（Geobacillus thermoresilans）FW23的地芽孢杆菌属（Geobacillus）推定新种开展全基因组测序，以探究其遗传与功能特征；同时旨在深入解析参与芳香族化合物降解的若干前所未有的代谢途径。
