Career Trajectories of Japanese Researchers, 1970–2024 (Derived from the researchmap Web API): Analysis Dataset and Institution Mapping

The dataset bundles two complementary comma-separated values (CSV) files describing the career progression of researchers from doctoral graduation to assistant professor (AP) and full professor (FP) appointments, together with a lookup table that standardizes institutional attributes. All records were aggregated from researchmap profiles and curated to support analyses of academic mobility and institutional characteristics focused on the 1970–2024 period. The two files can be used independently or joined through shared institution name fields. Research Asset Characteristic: Longitudinal depth: 50 years of academic career data. Institutional linkage: Standardized mapping of 9,500+ institutions. Cross-disciplinary comparability: Enables analysis across all academic domains. 本数据集整合了两份互补的逗号分隔值（Comma-Separated Values，CSV）文件，用于描述研究者从博士毕业至助理教授（AP）、正教授（FP）任职的职业发展轨迹，同时附带一份可标准化院校属性的查找表。所有记录均从researchmap个人主页聚合而来，经校验整理后，可支撑1970—2024年期间的学术流动与院校特征分析。两份文件可独立使用，也可通过共享的院校名称字段进行关联拼接。
