Parkes observations for project P885 semester 2020APRS_19

We propose to observe the magnetars 1E 1547.0-5408 and PSR J1622-4950\r\napproximately weekly, to track their rotation, flux density, and\r\npolarisation, as we have long been doing through this project. The\r\nrevolutionary UWL capabilities promise new opportunities to disentangle\r\nstill mysterious radio emission mechanisms in magnetars. This promise\r\nis supported by the recent follow up of XTE J1810-197, again a radio\r\nmagnetar after 10 years dormant, for which our observations with\r\nthe UWL receiver are providing unique and tantalizing measurements\r\nof its radio spectrum and polarisation.

本研究拟对磁星（magnetar）1E 1547.0-5408与脉冲星PSR J1622-4950开展约每周一次的观测，以追踪其自转、流量密度与偏振特性，一如本项目长期以来的观测工作。
革命性的UWL观测能力为厘清磁星迄今仍未明晰的射电辐射机制提供了全新契机。
这一潜力已得到XTE J1810-197近期后续观测的佐证：该源同样是一颗沉寂10年后再度活跃的射电磁星，我们借助UWL接收机对其开展的观测，正为其射电频谱与偏振特性提供独一无二且极具吸引力的测量数据。
