Differential Expression of CD44 Variants in Normal and AD Brain

In brief, we confirmed the specificity of commercially available CD44 antibodies by immunoblotting transfected cell samples overexpressing specific CD44 variants. We then applied the validated antibodies to examine the distribution of CD44 variant expression levels in normal and AD brain tissues using immunohistochemistry.
