The cytokine interleukin-12 (IL-12) is known to play a central role in adaptive and innate immunity. We employed microarray analysis of IL-12 induced gene expression to provide further insights into its effects on immune response. Keywords: Paired study of expression levels: Treated vs. Control PBMC's were isolated from 7 healthy NIH blood bank donors. For each donor, expression levels were measured for PBMCs stimulated with IL-12 and for unstimulated controls, using the Affymetrix Human Genome HG-U133A and HG-U133B GeneChips.
细胞因子白细胞介素-12(interleukin-12, IL-12)已被证实于适应性免疫与固有免疫中发挥核心调控作用。为进一步揭示其对免疫应答的影响机制,我们采用微阵列分析技术对IL-12诱导的基因表达谱进行了研究。

本研究从7名健康的美国国立卫生研究院(National Institutes of Health, NIH)血库捐献者体内分离得到外周血单个核细胞(Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells, PBMC)。针对每名捐献者,我们使用Affymetrix人类基因组HG-U133A与HG-U133B基因芯片,分别检测了经IL-12刺激的PBMC以及未受刺激的对照组PBMC的基因表达水平。
