Genome resequencing were performed for B. rapa vegetables to reveal the birth process of Mibuna. Mizuna and Mibuna are traditional vegetables in Kyoto, Japan, and thought to be diverged around 1800s. This genome resequencing is to reveal the genetic background of this diversity and the birth process of Mibuna. From the survey of old literature of Japan, turnips are thought to be involved to the birth of Mibuna, so genome resequencing are also performed for five kinds of turnips.
为解析京水菜(Mibuna)的起源形成过程,本研究对芸薹(Brassica rapa, B. rapa)类蔬菜开展基因组重测序(genome resequencing)。水菜(Mizuna)与京水菜均为日本京都的传统特色蔬菜,学界推测二者约于19世纪发生分化。本次基因组重测序旨在阐明二者遗传多样性的遗传基础,以及京水菜的起源形成过程。据日本古文献考证,芜菁(turnip)被认为参与了京水菜的起源演化,因此本研究同时对5个品种的芜菁开展了基因组重测序。
