This dataset contains Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD) products derived from a high-resolution numerical simulation performed with the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model for the Mediterranean Tropical-Like Cyclone (MTLC, "Medicane") Ianos (September 2020). POD is used here to characterize the dominant spatial structures and their temporal variability in selected lower- to mid-tropospheric fields. The analysis uses the innermost WRF domain (d03) at 1 km horizontal resolution.
本数据集收录了针对2020年9月地中海类热带气旋(Mediterranean Tropical-Like Cyclone,MTLC,俗称“地中海飓风(Medicane)”)伊诺斯(Ianos),通过天气研究与预报(WRF)模型开展的高分辨率数值模拟所得到的本征正交分解(Proper Orthogonal Decomposition,POD)产物。 本研究采用本征正交分解(POD)表征选定的对流层低层至中层气象场中的主导空间结构及其时间变异性,分析所用的WRF模型最内层嵌套区域(d03)水平分辨率为1千米。
