Wildfire in Eastern Peloponnese Region, Greece (2023-07-17)

In the afternoon 17 July 2023, a fire broke out near Kallithea village and is still ongoing. Residents of the cities of Kalamaki, Isthmia, Paradissos, Kallithea Pefkia and Irini have been ordered to evacuate. According to the Hellenic Fire Brigade currently 120 firefighters with 43 fire engines, 4 earth crews, 9 Water bomber aircraft, 2 helicopters and municipal water tanks are engaged in response activities for this fire. Staff and assets from the municipalities, regions, armed forces and groups of volunteers have been mobilised. Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping is requested to provide an initial rough estimation, in order to support the monitoring and assessment of the extent of the wildfire and the damage caused.

2023年7月17日下午，卡利西亚村附近突发野火，火势目前仍在持续。卡拉马基、伊斯米亚、帕拉迪索斯、卡利西亚佩夫基亚及伊里尼的居民已被要求紧急疏散。据希腊消防局（Hellenic Fire Brigade）通报，当前共有120名消防员、43辆消防车、4个地面作业班组、9架灭火航空飞机、2架直升机及市政储水罐参与本次火灾的应急响应行动。市政当局、各地区、武装部队及志愿者团体的人员与相关装备均已动员就位。应相关方请求，哥白尼应急管理服务快速制图（Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping）项目将提供初步粗略评估结果，以支撑对此次野火波及范围及造成损失的监测与评估工作。
