Long-term carbon and accumulation in a cedar (Thuja occidentalis) swamp in the Lake Simcoe Watershed, Southern Ontario, Canada

Peat cores collected from a minerotrophic cedar swamp in the Herrell Preserve, Lake Simcoe Watershed, southern Ontario, Canada. Peat chemical and physical properties are provided, including bulk density, total carbon, total nitrogen, LOI 550, and LOI 950. As well, radiocarbon dates are provided for the macrofossils subsampled from these cores.本数据集涵盖采自加拿大安大略省南部锡姆科湖流域赫雷尔保护区内矿养型雪松沼泽的泥炭岩芯，附带测定并记录了该泥炭的多项化学与物理性质，包括容重、总碳、总氮、550℃烧失量（LOI 550）以及950℃烧失量（LOI 950）。此外，还提供了从上述岩芯中分样获取的大化石（macrofossils）的放射性碳测年数据。
