Bs6 is a resistance gene that confers non-race-specific resistance against bacterial spot of pepper caused by Xanthomonas euvesicatoria. Identification of the gene is a crucial step towards understanding their mechanism of resistance. To identify the candidate resistance genes, we compare the whole genome sequence of the susceptible cultivar ECW with the resistant NIL ECW60R. Genes with protein-coding polymorphisms in the bs6-mapped region are considered bs6 candidates which will be utilizes for functional validation.
Bs6是一种抗病基因,可赋予由嗜黄单胞菌(Xanthomonas euvesicatoria)引起的辣椒细菌性斑点病非小种专化性抗性。鉴定该基因是解析其抗性机制的关键步骤。为筛选候选抗病基因,本研究将感病品种ECW的全基因组序列与抗病近等基因系(Near Isogenic Line,NIL)ECW60R的全基因组序列进行比对。在Bs6定位区间内存在编码蛋白多态性的基因被认定为Bs6候选基因,将用于后续功能验证实验。
