Grit, Leisure Boredom, Academic Engagement, and Psychological Richness Among Collegiate Student-Athletes: Repeated Cross-Sectional Data at Two Time Points

This dataset contains questionnaire data collected from collegiate student-athletes at a university in China at two time points: the beginning (T1, October 2025) and the end (T2, December 2025) of an academic semester. The measures include the Three-Dimensional Grit Scale (3-DGS), the Free Time Boredom Scale (FTBS), the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale–Student Version (UWES-S), and the Psychologically Rich Life Questionnaire (PRLQ). All data were collected anonymously via an online survey platform. The dataset is suitable for analytical approaches such as structural equation modeling (SEM) and fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) to examine the structural associations among grit, leisure boredom, academic engagement, and psychological richness, as well as their temporal stability across the semester.
