Particle paths in the surf zone in Sylt

Buoyant particle paths measured in the surf zone in Sylt, obtained from a long-range stereo imaging system. A pair of 5MP digital cameras (Victorem 51B163-CX, IO Industries) were fitted with 200mm Canon EF 200 mm f/2.8L lenses, and captured the paths of oranges in the surf zone in Sylt, an island off the German North Sea Coast. The cameras were positioned on the dune overlooking the sea, at a distance of approximately 35 m from one another, and captured a portion of the wavy water surface located about 150 m away from the cameras. The cameras were triggered simultaneously using a PCIe6612 counter/timer combined with a SCB-68A terminal block (National Instruments). A total of 14 lagrangian particle paths are provided, acquired between 17:00 and 17:30 UTC on September 7th, 2019.

本数据集包含由远程立体成像系统测得的叙尔特岛（Sylt）冲浪区浮粒运动轨迹。实验采用两台500万像素数码相机（Victorem 51B163-CX，IO Industries公司），搭载200毫米焦段佳能EF 200mm f/2.8L镜头，拍摄了该德国北海岸外岛屿冲浪区内橙色浮粒的运动轨迹。两台相机部署于临海沙丘之上，彼此间距约35米，拍摄覆盖相机前方约150米处的波浪水面区域。相机通过美国国家仪器（National Instruments）公司的PCIe6612计数/定时器结合SCB-68A接线端子模块实现同步触发。本数据集共提供14条拉格朗日粒子轨迹（Lagrangian particle paths），采集时间为2019年9月7日协调世界时（UTC）17:00至17:30。
