Marine Bird Observations, Arctic Integrated Ecosystem Research Program, shipboard surveys from summer 2019

These data are part of the AIES component of the Arctic Integrated Ecosystem Research Program (IERP), sponsored by the North Pacific Research Board (NPRB), Collaborative Alaskan Arctic Studies Program (formerly the North Slope Borough/Shell Baseline Studies Program), Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), and the Office of Naval Research Marine Mammals and Biology Program. Ship-based surveys were conducted in the northern Bering, Chukchi and Beaufort Seas during following standard U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) strip-transect survey protocols. Seabird and marine mammal observations were conducted during daylight hours when the vessel was underway. The dlog survey files (.csv format) contain the observations of species, numbers, and behavior that were recorded during surveys, in addition to observations of environmental conditions.

本数据集隶属于北极综合生态研究计划（Arctic Integrated Ecosystem Research Program, IERP）的AIES组分，由北太平洋研究委员会（North Pacific Research Board, NPRB）、阿拉斯加北极协同研究项目（前身为北坡自治市/壳牌基线研究项目）、海洋能源管理局（Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, BOEM）以及美国海军研究办公室海洋哺乳动物与生物学项目资助。本研究遵循美国鱼类及野生动物管理局（U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, USFWS）标准带状样线调查规程，在白令海北部、楚科奇海与波弗特海开展船舶走航调查。调查在船舶航行的日间时段进行，同步开展海鸟与海洋哺乳动物的观测记录。本次调查的dlog调查文件格式为.csv，其中包含调查期间记录的物种、个体数量与行为数据，同时涵盖了环境条件的观测结果。
