Spatiotemporal distribution of planktonic eukaryotes off Wakasa Bay, southern Sea of Japan

Spatiotemporal distribution of their community composition along with seasonally changing surrounding environments especially in coastal region. High-throughput sequencing was conducted for analyzing PCR amplified 18S rRNA gene sequences using Illumina platform to assess protists community compositions. Protists communities were collected onto 0.2µm pore size filter by filtering seawater obtained from 50 m depth at five sites in Wakasa Bay, which is located in the center of the northern coast of Japan Island, over four seasons from 2016 to 2017.

本数据集记录了原生生物（protists）群落组成的时空分布特征，及其随季节动态变化的周边环境状况，研究重点覆盖沿海区域。本研究采用Illumina测序平台（Illumina platform），对经聚合酶链式反应（PCR）扩增的18S rRNA基因序列开展高通量测序（High-throughput sequencing），以解析原生生物的群落组成。样本采集工作于2016年至2017年的四个季节中进行，采集自位于日本岛北海岸中部的若狭湾（Wakasa Bay）的5个采样点，通过过滤各采样点50米水深的海水，利用0.2微米孔径滤膜收集其中的原生生物群落。
