Data Set Overview This data set contains CODMAC level 2 processed data for the XSM instrument onboard Chandrayaan1. The data has been obtained during NOP. The XSM uses the Volume set concept. The data obtained dering the whole mission composes only one data set. For details of the data available in each release, please see the RELEASE.CAT file in the CATALOG directory. This data set includes calibration, solar spectral and background data. The column # 2 in the data table i.d. flag indicates the type of spectra stored in the corresponding row. 1calibration, 0solar data and 1background or noise (2time discontinuity). Processing This data are accessible from the ISRO server. The telemetry packets have been decoded from binary to fits formatted binary data. The fits formatted data is converted into PDSformatted data by applying the fits2pds conversion program. No corrections are applied to the XSM data in the processing. The deleivered data table contains spectral data, HK and attitude data. Time stamps, effective area and a flag is attached also in the table. (FLAG2: TIME DISCONTINUITY , FLAG 1: NOISE/BACKGROUND, FLAG 0: SOLAR SPECTRUM, FLAG 1: CALIBRATION SPECTRUM.) Media/Format The data is delivered as binary files, compliant with the PDS standard.
