Experiment was performed on October 19, 2010 in Miami, Oklahoma. A full geotechnical site evaluation was performed and provided in the documentation folder. A circular pipe pile with a diameter of 12.75", a sidewall thickness of 3/8", and a length of 23' was installed in soft clay. The pile cap was subjected lateral quasi-static loads at a maximum rate of 0.2 inches per second. Several cycles were applied at increasing levels of displacement magnitude to a maximum magnitude of about 20 inches. A hydraulic actuator from Iowa State University (ISU) was used to apply the loads.
