Quasi-static Tests in Unimproved Soil (TPU)

Experiment was performed on October 19, 2010 in Miami, Oklahoma. A full geotechnical site evaluation was performed and provided in the documentation folder. A circular pipe pile with a diameter of 12.75", a sidewall thickness of 3/8", and a length of 23' was installed in soft clay. The pile cap was subjected lateral quasi-static loads at a maximum rate of 0.2 inches per second. Several cycles were applied at increasing levels of displacement magnitude to a maximum magnitude of about 20 inches. A hydraulic actuator from Iowa State University (ISU) was used to apply the loads.本试验于2010年10月19日在美国俄克拉荷马州迈阿密市完成。试验前已开展完整的岩土工程场地勘察，相关成果归档于文档文件夹内。一根直径为12.75英寸、管壁厚度为3/8英寸、桩长23英尺的圆形管桩被安装至软黏土地层中。对桩帽施加侧向拟静力荷载，最大加载速率为0.2英寸每秒。通过逐级增大位移幅值开展多轮循环加载，最大位移幅值约为20英寸。本次荷载施加采用爱荷华州立大学（Iowa State University, ISU）提供的液压作动器完成。
