Temperature data collected from the Lower Yakima River from October 2018 to October 2020

A total of 27 temperature sensors were deployed along the lower 90 miles of the Yakima River at 7 locations where cold water had been previously observed. These 7 cold-water areas had 3 to 6 temperature sensors installed to document the extent and duration of these cold-water areas and their impacts on mainstem temperatures of the Lower Yakima River. Cold-water areas included the mouths of tributaries, alongside channels, and within alcoves. Sensor deployments ranged from 1 to 2 years beginning in October 2018. All temperature data are included in the Yakima.temperatures.zip folder. Details of each monitoring location are provided in the site.locs.csv file. In addition to the raw data and site location information, an html file for each of the 7 cold-water locations is provided so the user can visually explore the data. The 7 cold water areas included: Amon Wasteway at river mile (RM) 3.0, a side channel/tributary input located near I-182 at RM 4.7, a side channel at Fox Island near Van Giesen road at RM 8.5, A side channel in Benton City at RM 29, at Corral creek at RM 33.4, at Spring/Snipes creeks at RM 41.7, and a side channel and alcove area near Zillah, WA and RM 90.

本数据集沿雅基马河（Yakima River）下游90英里河段布设了总计27个温度传感器，所有布设点位均为此前已被观测到存在冷水团的7处区域。该7处冷水区各布设3至6个温度传感器，用于记录各冷水区的影响范围、持续时长，及其对雅基马河下游干流水温的影响。本次监测的冷水区涵盖支流河口、河道旁侧区域以及河道凹湾地带。传感器的监测部署周期为1至2年，监测工作始于2018年10月。所有温度数据均收纳于Yakima.temperatures.zip压缩包内，各监测点位的详细信息已收录于site.locs.csv文件中。除原始监测数据与点位位置信息外，本数据集还为7处冷水区各提供了一份HTML文件，以供用户对数据进行可视化探索。7处冷水区分别为：位于河英里（RM）3.0处的阿蒙排水渠（Amon Wasteway）、位于RM 4.7处182号州际公路附近的侧河道/支流汇入口、位于RM 8.5处范吉森路附近的福克斯岛侧河道、位于RM 29处本顿城内的侧河道、位于RM 33.4处的科勒尔溪（Corral Creek）、位于RM 41.7处的斯普林/斯奈普斯溪（Spring/Snipes Creeks），以及位于华盛顿州齐拉市附近、RM 90处的侧河道与凹湾区域。
