Comprehensive microbiome analysis of tonsillar crypts in IgA nephropathy. human oral metagenome

We investigated the relationship between IgA nephropathy and the bacterial flora in the tonsils by analyzing the composition of the bacterial community in the crypts of the tonsils of IgAN patients and compared it to those of recurrent tonsillitis patients without urine abnormalities and children with tonsillar hyperplasia by using a high-throughput multiplexed 16S ribosomal RNA gene sequencing method.

本研究采用高通量多重16S核糖体RNA（16S ribosomal RNA）基因测序技术，分析IgA肾病（IgA nephropathy，简称IgAN）患者扁桃体隐窝内的细菌群落组成，并将其与无尿异常的复发性扁桃体炎患者及扁桃体增生儿童的扁桃体隐窝细菌群落组成进行对比，以此探究IgA肾病与扁桃体菌群之间的相关性。
