Hrip1 is an elicitor protein isolated from Alternaria tenuissima. It induces cell death and the expression of systematically acquired immunity. It was also identified to induce immunity against rice blast fungi. To investigate the immune machinery induced by Hrip1 treatment in rice seedlings, RNA-seq was performed on rice seedlings treated with 30 nm Hrip1 protein at the 3-leaf stage. The control plants were treated with Tris-HCl buffer. Triplicate samples from both experiments were taken at 6, 12, 24, and 48 hours after treatment. The control samples were given initial: CB and the Hrip1-treated were given initials: HT. each initial was followed by the time of sampling (6, 12, 24, and 48), and then the triplicate sample numbers followed (1, 2, and 3).
