Short- and Mid-Term Adaptations to Plyometric vs. Strength Training in Elite Soccer: A Randomized Crossover Study With Follow-Up and Machine Learning Classification
This dataset accompanies a randomized crossover study investigating the short- and mid-term neuromuscular adaptations following plyometric and maximal strength training in elite soccer players. The data include raw performance values (CMJ, RFD, power), training load indicators (RPE, DOMS, HRV), machine learning classification labels, and retention indices across a 12-week intervention protocol. Machine learning and PCA scripts are included to support reproducibility. The study was conducted at the Gdańsk University of Physical Education and Sport, Faculty of Physical Culture, and approved by the Bioethical Committee of the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice (Resolution No. 3/2021).
