Supplementary Material for: Diagnostic Imaging of Primary Cutaneous Osteoma of the Forehead

Introduction: Osteoma cutis is a rare benign condition characterized by ectopic bone formation in the dermis or subcutaneous tissue. Typically, osteoma cutes result from inflammation, tumors, or scars. However, primary cases occasionally present with no apparent preceding lesion. Case Presentation: we report a case of primary osteoma cutis located on a 20-year-old woman's forehead. Diagnostic imaging revealed a nodule of bone tissue within the dermis and contiguous cartilage tissue, which was later histologically confirmed. The patient underwent surgical resection under local anesthesia and successfully recovered with no neurological symptoms or signs of recurrence 6 months after the surgery. Conclusion: We report this case because, to the best of our knowledge, there have been no reports of primary osteoma cutis with complete preoperative imaging findings.

引言：皮肤骨瘤（Osteoma cutis）是一种罕见的良性病变，以真皮或皮下组织内出现异位骨形成为特征。该病症通常继发于炎症、肿瘤或瘢痕，但原发性病例偶无明确前驱病灶。
病例报告：本次报告1例发生于20岁女性前额的原发性皮肤骨瘤。影像学检查示真皮内可见骨结节及邻近软骨组织，后经组织病理学检查证实。患者接受局部麻醉下手术切除，术后6个月随访恢复良好，未出现神经系统症状及复发征象。
结论：据我们所知，目前尚无关于伴完整术前影像学表现的原发性皮肤骨瘤的相关报道，故特此报告此病例。
