资源简介:
This dataset accompanies the paper “Hydrogen as a Future Fuel for Power Generation: A Global Project-Based Analysis Using MATLAB and IEA Database”. It provides a cleaned and structured subset of the International Energy Agency (IEA) Hydrogen Projects Database (2024), together with the MATLAB/Simulink models and simulation outputs used for the global analysis of hydrogen-based power generation.
The project-level dataset covers approximately 780 hydrogen projects worldwide and includes key variables such as project name, country/region, year of commissioning, hydrogen production technology (e.g. electrolysis, fossil-based with CCS, other emerging routes), project status (planned, under construction, operational, decommissioned) and installed power capacity (MW). The raw IEA export was pre-processed in MATLAB to remove duplicate records, drop entries with missing or inconsistent capacity values, standardise technology categories and harmonise date formats. The resulting table is suitable for descriptive statistics, trend analysis and visualisations of growth, technology mix, geographical distribution and scale of hydrogen projects.
In addition, the dataset includes MATLAB scripts and a simplified Simulink model representing a renewable–electrolyzer–hydrogen storage–fuel cell power chain (P2H2P). Time-series outputs (e.g. renewable input power, electrolyzer power consumption, hydrogen tank state of charge, fuel cell power output and grid support) over a 24-hour period are provided in CSV/MAT format, enabling users to reproduce the qualitative system behaviour reported in the paper.
This dataset can be reused to:
replicate and extend the global hydrogen project analysis,
test alternative classification schemes or filtering criteria on the IEA hydrogen project portfolio,
perform teaching demonstrations on hydrogen energy systems and P2H2P concepts, and
serve as a starting point for techno-economic optimisation, scenario studies and integration of hydrogen into future low-carbon power systems.
