Theatrical Space and Documentation - Visual Design in La Nuit Juste Avant Les Forêts China Premier in 2008

My collaboration with French-Chinese theatrical director Ningchun (Ning Chunyan) dated back to 2007 where we first met after I went to Chaoyang Culture Center in Beijing for THEATRE SANS ANIMAUX. In 2008 I started visual designing her theatrical documentation during my undergraduate studies. This paper focuses on La Nuit Juste Avant Les Forêts premiered in China in 2008, which laid the conceptual foundation of the following theatrical documentation designs I adopted for Ningchun’s works.

我与法籍华裔戏剧导演宁春（Ning Chunyan）的合作最早可追溯至2007年：彼时我为观看戏剧《THEATRE SANS ANIMAUX》前往北京朝阳文化馆，与宁春初次相识。2008年，我在本科就读阶段开始为她的戏剧纪实项目提供视觉设计服务。本研究聚焦于2008年在中国首演的戏剧作品《La Nuit Juste Avant Les Forêts》，该作品为我后续为宁春的戏剧作品所采用的戏剧纪实设计奠定了概念基础。
