As of August 2019, the quality of 3G-only voice apps among mobile users in Ecuador was significantly lower compared to 4G networks. The 3G voice apps in the South American country received a score of 59.4, while 4G OTT voice services such as Whatsapp and Skype, were given a score of 73.
