We introduce RF-MatID, a comprehensive dataset and benchmark designed to bridge the gap in robust material identification. RF-MatID is the largest and most diverse dataset of its kind, featuring: - 16 fine-grained categories derived from 5 superclasses (e.g., Plastic, Metal, Wood, etc.). - Wide frequency range from 4 GHz to 43.5 GHz, capturing unique electromagnetic signatures across 39.5 GHz of bandwidth. - 71k pairs of dual-domain samples, providing both raw frequency-domain measurements and processed time-domain representations. - Geometry diversity, with systematically controlled perturbations in incidence angles (0-10 deg)and stand-off distances (200-2000 mm).
本研究提出RF-MatID,一款旨在填补鲁棒材料识别领域研究空白的综合性数据集与基准测试集。RF-MatID是同类型数据集里规模最大、多样性最丰富的一款,其特性包括:
- 16个细粒度类别,源自5个超类(例如塑料、金属、木材等);
- 覆盖4 GHz至43.5 GHz的宽频范围,可捕捉39.5 GHz带宽内的独特电磁特征;
- 包含7.1万组双域样本,同时提供原始频域测量数据与经过处理的时域表征;
