Soil microbial communities in natural and agricultural sites in Kenya

Soil microbial communities in 3 sites in Kenya, which were collected to be investigated effects of cultivation on them. All the 3 sites had neibouring 2 land-uses (natural and agricultural (maize)), and both of them had 3 of 1 x 1 m plot separated from each other by 20 m. A plot had 3 replications. In total, DNA was extracted from 27 natural and 27 agricultural soils, and the 16S rRNA region was sequenced to elucidate the bacterial community.

本数据集包含采自肯尼亚3个样地的土壤微生物群落样本，旨在探究耕作措施对土壤微生物群落的影响。所有3个样地均配有相邻的两种土地利用类型：自然原生样地与玉米种植农用地。每种土地利用类型下均设置3块彼此间隔20米的1×1米样方，且每块样方设置3次生物学重复。本研究共从27份自然土壤样本与27份农用地土壤样本中提取脱氧核糖核酸（DNA），并对16S核糖体RNA（16S rRNA）区域进行测序以解析细菌群落组成。
