VIIRS/NPP Sea Ice Cover 6-Min L2 Swath 375m, Version 2

This data set reports the location of sea ice cover derived from radiance data acquired by the Visible Infrared Imager Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) onboard the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (NPP) satellite. Following the approach used by MODIS, Sea Ice is detected using the Normalized Difference Snow Index.

本数据集报告了由苏奥米国家极轨伙伴（Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership，NPP）卫星搭载的可见光红外成像辐射仪套件（Visible Infrared Imager Radiometer Suite，VIIRS）获取的辐射亮度数据反演得到的海冰覆盖位置。本研究沿用了中分辨率成像光谱仪（Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer，MODIS）所采用的方法，通过归一化积雪指数（Normalized Difference Snow Index）完成海冰检测。
