Aboveground biomass is determined approximately monthly via clippings at permanent, high marsh control (non-fertilized) plots in a Spartina patens-dominated salt marsh on Nelson Island near Stackyard Rd in the Parker River NWR within the Plum Island Ecosystem (PIE) LTER site, MA.
