The total number of initial public offerings (IPOs) in Europe fluctuated significantly between 2009 and 2023. The number of IPOs reached a total of 107 different initial public offerings in 2023, a slight increase compared to the previous year. The largest total number of initial public offerings (IPOs) in Europe was found in 2011, when the number of recorded IPOs reached a total of 457. Despite 2011's height in volume, IPO's in that year had a combined value of less than half of that seen 2015 and 2021.
