Megagenomic analysis fecal virome of NHPs from zoos in Eastern China

We describe here the metagenomics-derived viral sequences found in feces collected from non-human primates in zoos in eastern China. Feces can be the source of numerous enteric infections in animals. A library was then constructed using Nextera XT DNA Sample Preparation Kit (Illumina) and then sequenced using the Miseq Illumina platform with 250 bases paired ends with a distinct molecular tag for each pool.

本文阐述了中国东部地区动物园内非人灵长类动物粪便样本中检出的宏基因组学（metagenomics）衍生病毒序列。粪便可成为多种动物肠道感染的传染源。本研究采用Illumina Nextera XT DNA样本制备试剂盒构建测序文库，随后使用Illumina MiSeq测序平台开展250碱基双端测序，且每个混样池均配备专属分子标签。
