A Video-Based Intervention to Improve Belt Fit

To develop the short, video-based intervention, an inter-disciplinary team of experts were consulted, including automotive safety experts, injury biomechanics researchers, behavior psychologists, communication, and video production specialists. Multiple revisions of the script for the video-based intervention were undertaken and reviewed by the experts. A pilot evaluation was conducted to assess terminology for the anatomical reference of the belt position, and to evaluate the video tutorial script and proposed graphics. A convenience sample of twenty-four community participants provided feedback that was incorporated into the video script. The final video was 100 seconds in duration.
