Sphingomonas paucimobilis is a Gram-negative bacteria known for its ability to pass through 0.2 micro meter filters, sometimes causing nosocomial infections. Here, we report the complete genome of S. paucimobilis strain Kira, isolated from human cell cultures supplemented with penicillin and streptomycin. The genome size was 3,917,410 bp with a G+C content of 65.7% and 3,672 protein-coding sequences. In addition, we found two plasmids (44,333 bp and 79,575 bp).
