<p>The Consumer Insights Tracker is an online monthly tracking survey commissioned by the Food Standards Agency (FSA). It monitors the behaviour and attitudes of consumers aged 16+ in England, Wales and Northern Ireland in relation to food. Each month, the survey is conducted with approximately 2,000 consumers. </p><p><br></p> <p>The Consumer Insights Tracker, 2024-2025 dataset covers 12 waves of data collection from April 2024 to March 2025.</p> <p></p> <p>The survey includes core topics such as food availability, food affordability, consumer concerns related to food, and confidence in both the food supply chain and the FSA as a regulator. These core measures enable the tracking of trends and changes in consumer behaviours and attitudes over time.</p> <p></p> <p>In addition to the core questions, some waves in this dataset also explore other topics. These include consumer awareness and acceptance of novel foods and food production techniques such as precision breeding, cell-cultivated products (CCPs), and cannabidiol (CBD). Further information about the additional topics covered in each wave can be found in the Technical Report.</p> <p></p> <p>The data is collected via online panels using demographic quotas to ensure representativeness. The Consumer Insights Tracker complements the FSA's official statistic <a href="https://beta.ukdataservice.ac.uk/datacatalogue/series/series?id=2000126" target="_blank">Food and You 2 survey</a> which collects more methodologically robust data (random probability sample) on an annual basis, providing longer term monitoring of consumer behaviour and attitudes over time.</p>
