Turbidity data measured during a plume monitoring experiment during RV SONNE cruise SO268/2 in the Belgian license area, CCZ, NE Pacific Ocean

Expedition SO268 was part of the JPI Oceans project MiningImpact to assess the environmental impacts of deep sea mining of polymetallic nodules in the Clarion Clipperton Zone (CCZ). A sediment plume monitoring operation was conducted as part of this expedition. During the expedition, a small experiment was carried out to study monitoring of sediment plumes using a multibeam system. This dataset contains the data of a JFE optical backscatter sensor (JFE OBS (NIOZ_ENV-17)) which was simultaneously deployed during SO268/2_ST152_ROV22.
