Aquatic insect captures in relation to color and polarization of light

We captured aquatic insects in oil-filled trays in 6 treatments. They were composed of lamps of three different spectra (blue-red LED, High-pressure sodium, metal-halide) that were polarized or left unpolarized by reflection with an oil-filled tray. Aerial terrrestrial and aquatic insects were captured in oil.

本研究设置6组处理，利用盛油托盘开展昆虫采集工作。每组处理采用三种不同光谱的光源之一：蓝红LED、高压钠灯（High-pressure sodium）、金属卤化物灯（metal-halide），并通过盛油托盘的反射作用将灯光设置为偏振光或非偏振光。飞行陆生昆虫与水生昆虫均被盛油托盘内的油液捕获。
