This data repository contains tables, supplementary tables, data tables and additional data for the manuscript titled “Evidence for water depletion in the Moon from high sulfur contents in lunar apatite”. To investigate the origin of high sulfur contents in lunar apatite, an experimental simulation of the fractional crystallization of apatite during the late-stage evolution of a low-Ti lunar basalt has been performed. Both the experimental results and fractional crystallization modeling suggest that high S in lunar apatite can be produced by the fractional crystallization process and a depletion of H2O in magma is a prerequisite. The corollary is that high S in lunar apatite supports the H2O depleted nature of lunar magma.
