Mosquitoes, particularly the Asian tiger mosquito (Aedes albopictus), are significant vectors for various diseases. This project aims to conduct a comprehensive venomics study of Ae. albopictus venom to deepen our understanding of its biochemical properties. Our methodology included the identification and characterization of the venom's protein components through RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) transcriptomics. We validated our findings using mass spectrometry analysis of crude venom, ensuring accurate identification of the venom proteins. This integrative approach allowed us to explore the complex biochemical landscape of mosquito venom.
