Pichia occidentalis ApC genome sequencing and assembly

Probiotic yeasts have health benefits. So far, only a few yeast species have been isolated. This project sequences the genome of Issatchenkica occidentalis ApC, a strain isolated from apple juice that has been shown to inhibit Candida.

益生菌酵母（Probiotic yeasts）具有健康益处。截至目前，已分离获得的酵母物种寥寥无几。本项目对从苹果汁中分离得到的Issatchenkica occidentalis ApC菌株开展基因组测序，该菌株已被证实可抑制念珠菌属（Candida）真菌。
