Underground gas storage (UGS) has historically served in the past as storage for natural gas or town gas. In recent years, there has been an idea to extend their potential to the hydrogen and carbon dioxide storage. Hydrogen storage could lead to microbial reactions in the UGS and conversion to methane. From this point of view, it is important to know the composition of microbial communities in any UGS planned for hydrogen storage and their viability. In this work, underground water samples and water samples from surface technologies from 7 UGS objects located in the Vienna Basin were studied using both molecular biology methods and cultivation methods.

地下储气库(Underground Gas Storage, UGS)长期以来一直被用于储存天然气或城市燃气。近年来,学界提出拓展其应用潜能,将其用于氢气与二氧化碳储存的构想。在氢气储存过程中,地下储气库内可能发生微生物反应,并将氢气转化为甲烷。基于此,针对计划用于氢气储存的地下储气库,探明其内部微生物群落组成与活性至关重要。本研究针对维也纳盆地内7座地下储气库采集了地下水样本与地面工艺水样,并分别采用分子生物学方法与培养法开展分析检测。
