The Genome Sequence of Citrus Melanose Pathogen Diaporthe citri and Two Citrus related Diaporthe species

The melanose diseases is one the most widespread and economically important fungal diseases of citrus worldwide. The causative agent is filamentous fungus Diaporthe citri Wolf (syn. Phomopsis citri H.S. Fawc.). Here, we report genome assemblies of three strains of D. citri, namely strains ZJUD2, ZJUD14 and Q7, generated using a combination of PacBio Sequel long-read and Illumina paired-end sequencing data. The assembled genomes of D. citri ranged 53.97 Mb to 63.64 Mb in genome size, containing 15,977 ~ 16,622 protein-coding genes. In addition, we sequenced and annotated the genome sequences of two Citrus related Diaporthe species, including D. citriasiana and D. citrichinensis. The described genome sequences and annotations can provide a useful resource in the study of fungal biology, pathogen-host interaction, molecular diagnostic marker development, and population genomic analyses of Citrus-related Diaporthe species.
柑橘黑疤病(melanose)是全球范围内分布最广泛、经济重要性最高的柑橘真菌病害之一。其病原菌为丝状真菌柑橘间座壳菌(Diaporthe citri Wolf),异名为柑橘拟茎点霉(Phomopsis citri H.S. Fawc.)。本研究报道了三株柑橘间座壳菌(D. citri)的基因组组装结果,分别为ZJUD2、ZJUD14与Q7菌株,其组装结合了PacBio Sequel长读长测序与Illumina双端测序数据。柑橘间座壳菌的组装基因组大小介于53.97 Mb至63.64 Mb之间,共编码15977~16622个蛋白质编码基因。此外,本研究还完成了两种与柑橘相关的间座壳菌属物种的基因组测序与注释工作,分别为D. citriasiana和D. citrichinensis。本研究报道的基因组序列及注释信息,可为真菌生物学研究、病原菌-宿主互作分析、分子诊断标记开发以及柑橘相关间座壳菌属物种的群体基因组学分析等提供宝贵的研究资源。
