Investigating Alaska Native Successful Aging through Elder-Centered, Community-Based Participatory Research (2021-2024)

This dataset consists of interviews with Alaska Native Elders from Interior, Southcentral, and Southeast Alaska exploring their understanding of successful aging (2021-2024). This study used a community and Elder-engaged approach and included in depth, semi-structured interviews, with Elders to obtain an emic perspective on aging in rural Alaska and better understand the lifestyle, environmental and anything else that enables them to age well, or age in a good way.

本数据集收录了2021至2024年间，针对阿拉斯加内陆、中南部及东南部地区的阿拉斯加原住民长者开展的访谈资料，旨在探究其对成功老龄化（successful aging）的认知。本研究采用社区与长者参与式研究方法，通过面向长者实施的深入半结构化访谈，获取阿拉斯加农村地区老龄化的主位视角（emic perspective），并进一步明晰助力其实现健康老龄化或优质老龄化的生活方式、环境及其他相关影响因素。
