Genomic sequence data of Thiohalocapsa marina: A sulfur-oxidizing bacterium prevalent in treated municipal wastewater and commercial shrimp hatchery effluents

Thc. marina is a phototrophic purple bacterium known for its role in sulfur oxidation and bioremediation in marine aquaculture systems. We present a draft genome of Thc. marina LNA26 recovered from treated municipal wastewater effluents using shotgun metagenomic sequencing. Thc. marina LNA26 was also prevalent in the microbiome of Penaeus vannamei postlarvae and hatchery effluents.

Thc. marina是一种光能营养型紫色细菌，以其在海水养殖系统中的硫氧化与生物修复功能而被广泛认知。本研究报道了一株通过鸟枪法宏基因组测序（shotgun metagenomic sequencing）从处理后的市政废水排放物中组装获得的Thc. marina LNA26的草图基因组（draft genome）。此外，Thc. marina LNA26在凡纳滨对虾（Penaeus vannamei）后期幼体的微生物组以及育苗场排放物中均广泛存在。
