Continuous cropping, a prevalent practice in intensive agriculture, often leads to soil barriers and decreases crop productivity over time. Crop rotation as a sustainable management has been employed widely to address these challenges. However, little is known about the role of microbes under tobacco-rape rotation in affecting soil productivity. The study investigated the bacterial and fungal diversity, community composition, and co-occurrence networks through high throughput sequencing technology, as well as the relationship among tobacco yield, microbial community structures, soil properties, and by the structural equation modeling.
