The surface and tower meteorological instrumentation uses mainly conventional in situ sensors mounted on a tower to measure wind speed, wind direction, air temperature, dew point, and humidity. It also obtains barometric pressure, visibility, and precipitation data from sensors at or near the base of the tower. In addition, a chilled mirror hygrometer is used for comparison purposes.本地面与塔式气象观测仪器主要采用安装于塔架之上的常规原位传感器（conventional in situ sensors），用以测量风速、风向、气温、露点与湿度。该仪器还可通过塔架底部或邻近位置的传感器获取气压、能见度及降水数据。此外，还将使用冷镜式湿度计（Chilled Mirror Hygrometer）用于对比校验。
