<br>Raw data in this document were obtained from young Mexicans recruited at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León from January 2017 through September 2017. A total of 74 subjects are included; sample anthropometric characteristics were obtained and registered. <br>Cold Pressor Test methodology was performed in order to assess the following pain-related variables: threshold, tolerance and the visual analogue scale (VAS) (Results registered in this document); Mood was evaluated using the Scale for Mood Assessment (SMA) prior to experimental pain induction. The rs12720071 and rs806368 genotyping results for each participant (n = 200) were registered in this document as well.<br>Ethics statement: The authors state that they have followed the principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki for all human or animal experimental investigations. In addition, informed consent has been obtained from the participants involved.<br><br><br>
