The data were systematically collected between May and September 2023 in Jinghe County, Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, China, a representative region of arid desert ecosystems. The data encompass four integrated components: (1) stable hydrogen and oxygen isotope (δ2H and δ18O) compositions of diverse water sources, including precipitation, soil water (across vertical profiles), and groundwater; (2) isotopic signatures of xylem water from desert vegetation; (3) soil volumetric water content (%) monitored across multiple experimental plots; and (4) morphological traits of Haloxylon ammodendron, specifically plant height and basal diameter. This comprehensive dataset is designed to support high-level investigations into plant water acquisition strategies, soil-plant-atmosphere continuum (SPAC) interactions, and eco-hydrological processes in extreme arid environments.
