Grapevine leaf fungal and bacterial microbiome study

Grape powdery mildew is the most important grape disease in California. Frequent chemical sprays manage the disease, but also effect fungi, bacteria and other micro-organisms that can contribute to vine health, yield, and resiliency. This study would compare the effect of different fungicide spray programs on microbial communities during the growing season from two table grape vineyards and relate those changes to powdery mildew and Botrytis disease severity/outbreaks.葡萄白粉病（Grape powdery mildew）是加利福尼亚州最为主要的葡萄病害。频繁喷施化学药剂虽可有效防控该病害，但同时也会对真菌、细菌及其他微生物群落造成影响——而这类微生物恰恰是维系葡萄植株健康、提升产量与抗逆性的关键因子。本研究将对比两座鲜食葡萄（table grape）葡萄园在生长季内，不同杀菌剂喷施方案对微生物群落的影响，并将这些群落变化与白粉病及灰霉病（Botrytis）的病害严重程度、暴发情况相关联。
